What's going on gents? Your jeans are too baggy is what's going on. Or too tight to the point where you look feminine!
I've noticed that a lot of men aren't wearing properly fitting jeans or even wearing them appropriately.
We're not going to focus on the latter right now.
However, it's a shame that something as casual and stylish as jeans isn't be worn to its full potential when it's so simple.
Well, you know your man[me] isn't going to leave you hanging.
I'm here to give you guys a guide on how to find a stylishly fitting pair of jeans. There are four parts to this that I'm going to discuss and that's the waist size, rise, inseam, and break.
Waist
The waist of your jeans should fit you perfectly to the point where you can wear them without needing a belt to hold them up. Now, some men mess this up by getting jeans that are too tight on their waist.
A way to make sure you're doing this right is by doing the finger insertion test. The way this goes is by putting on your jeans and obviously inserting your finger into the waist of your jeans, after that you insert another finger. If you can fit in two fingers comfortably without any problems you're jeans are perfect. If you're having trouble putting two fingers in, they're too tight. If you can fit more than two finger in easily, it's too big.
Another way you can do this is by doing the "neck trick". You do this by wrapping the waistline of the jeans around your neck. If the end meets the other end of the waistline comfortable hugging your neck, then it's a perfect fit.
Simple as that.
Rise
The only two common ways a man knows how to measure their jeans is by the waist and the inseam. A lot of man tend to forget another just as important part when it comes to buying a stylish jeans and that's the rise.
Here's an examples if you don't know what I'm talking about

The rise of your jeans measures the waist to the bottom of the crotch seam. They also affect how your torso looks compared to your legs. There are three type of rise and that's the high rise, low rise, and mid rise or you can call it the regular.
High rise
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/a9b749_def78217251c432d99d84947798f7011~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_418,h_600,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/a9b749_def78217251c432d99d84947798f7011~mv2.jpg)
The high rise is when the rise of your jeans is high up your crotch obviously. The high rise visually elongates your legs, however, there's basically not much of a rise when it comes to the high rise which means there's barely any ball room for down there. Not only that, and I'm surprise no one's mentioned this, wearing jeans with barely any crotch is going to give the illusion that you don't have much of a crotch yourself. Gentlemen, this is something you want to avoid.
Low rise
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/a9b749_c9c8bc51c1d44a748304def2ceddabeb~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_255,h_538,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/a9b749_c9c8bc51c1d44a748304def2ceddabeb~mv2.jpg)
So obviously, since a jeans with barely any crotch is going to make you look small down there, jeans with a lot of crotch room should give the opposite illusion right? Gentlemen the only illusion this is going to give is you looking shorter than you already are. The low rise is only going to shorten the look of your legs, since it's much longer, so you gents, especially you shorter guys will to avoid this.
Regular

Ah perfect! Not too much, not too little, just right. I would recommend that every guy always opt for mid rise jeans. They have just enough crotch room so you can be comfortable down there. Not too little to where it makes you look like you have no crotch at all and not too much to make you look short.
Inseam
The inseam of your jeans should taper down to your ankles, they shouldn't be so baggy to the point where you look like a 90s rapper or too tight to the point where you have a nicer arse than your girlfriend.
A way to make sure you're getting the correct fitting inseam for your jeans is by doing the pinch test. You do this by having your jeans on and pinching the fabric around your thigh and calf. If you can get a fingertip worth of pinch (0.25-1"), then it's perfect, any less then it's too tight. Anymore, then it's too baggy.
Break
Like the rise, the break isn't given the attention it deserves. The length of your jeans is the measurement from the waistline of the jeans to your ankles. a lot of people nowadays are going with the stacked jeans like the picture shown below

The thing about stacked jeans is that if you're on the shorter side it can make you look shorter. I would recommend that you gents go with a half break like the picture shown below.
